How to Help
There are many ways in which you can help.
Try to send cards or write letters. These sentiments provide comfort.
Try to initiate conversation, it may allow the grieving an opportunity to just talk.
Try to become a good listener. Silence can be golden when dealing with these situations.
Try to visit whenever possible and if you cannot visit attempt to call.
Try to include the bereaved in activities when possible.
Try to offer a helping hand with any of the day to day responsibilities.
Try not to be judgmental. Everyone grieves in their own way.
Try to share memories, it is a great way to help with grief.
Try to share a meal when ever possible.
Try to ask "What can I do?" and mean it.
Try to support the emotional moods that grief can cause.
